Hercules and Pegasus: what the 96.50% RTP means for a 20-line bet in pesos
Published — UTC

Short answer: Hercules and Pegasus is a Pragmatic Play video slot with 3 reels, 5 rows and 20 lines. Pragmatic’s game page lists an RTP of 96.50%. Read per spin, that means a player who bets 20 pesos on the 20 lines gets back 19.30 pesos on average over a very long run, and gives up about 0.70 pesos. Over 100 spins at that bet, the expected loss is about 70 pesos on a turnover of 2,000 pesos. These are our own calculations from the official figure. They describe the long-run average, not what any single session will do.

Turning the 20 lines into a bet in pesos
Pragmatic lists 20 lines, so the total bet is the line bet multiplied by 20. The table below uses four line bets as examples. The expected return and expected loss follow directly from the official RTP: expected return is the total bet times 96.50%, and expected loss is the total bet times the remaining 3.50%. These are our calculations, and the line bets are examples rather than the limits of any operator.
| Line bet | Total bet (20 lines) | Expected return per spin | Expected loss per spin |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 peso | 20 pesos | 19.30 pesos | 0.70 pesos |
| 2 pesos | 40 pesos | 38.60 pesos | 1.40 pesos |
| 5 pesos | 100 pesos | 96.50 pesos | 3.50 pesos |
| 10 pesos | 200 pesos | 193.00 pesos | 7.00 pesos |
The point of the table is the last column. At a 20-peso total bet, the average loss is small per spin, but it is charged on every spin. The same spin at 200 pesos costs ten times as much on average, because the 3.50% edge is applied to a larger stake. The RTP is the same at every bet size; only the peso amount changes.

How many spins a budget covers on average
A loss budget can be translated into spins. Dividing the budget by the expected loss per spin gives the number of spins at which the average loss would reach that budget. Real sessions will often end sooner or later than this, because results vary from spin to spin. The table is therefore a planning check, not a forecast.
| Loss budget | At 20 pesos per spin | At 40 pesos per spin | At 100 pesos per spin |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 pesos | 714 spins | 357 spins | 143 spins |
| 1,000 pesos | 1,429 spins | 714 spins | 286 spins |
| 2,000 pesos | 2,857 spins | 1,429 spins | 571 spins |
The spin counts are rounded to the nearest whole spin. The last row shows the effect of stake size: 571 spins at 100 pesos is 57,100 pesos of turnover, and it reaches the same 2,000-peso expected loss as 2,857 spins at 20 pesos on 57,140 pesos of turnover. The stake changes how quickly a budget is used up, not the edge.
What RTP does not tell you in one session
An RTP is an average over a very large number of spins. It says nothing reliable about the next 20 spins or the next 200. Features such as random Wilds, stacked symbols and a free-spins round with progressive wins make results lumpy: a session can have long quiet stretches and then a few large rounds. Because the game page does not give a hit frequency or a maximum win, we cannot calculate how often a dry spell of a given length should occur. We would need the official hit frequency or a labelled demo sample to say more, and we have not used a demo sample for this article.
Two common readings are wrong. First, a 96.50% RTP does not mean the player gets back 96.50% of their money in any one session. Second, it does not mean a loss is “due” to be recovered after a bad run. Under a random number generator, earlier spins do not change the odds of the next spin, so a long dry spell does not make a win more likely to follow.
Limits and what to check next
- The RTP and the layout come from the provider’s public game page. We did not check the paytable or the free-spins multiplier rules in this article, and this article does not describe them.
- The maximum win is not stated on the page we checked, so no maximum-win figure is given here.
- All peso figures are calculations from one stated RTP and the line bets shown. Real limits, currency and game availability depend on the operator where a player might use the game.
- This article does not say where the game can be played or on what terms. Check the operator’s own game information and rules before you bet, and check the age and eligibility rules that apply to you.
